Who Makes Streamlined Gaming?

I’m assuming you have checked out our about page.  If not, then don’t forget to see how we plan to help you.

And I’m sure you want to also know who makes Streamlined Gaming.  So let’s find out!

Calvin

“I started Streamlined Gaming in August of 2015 in an attempt to create a valuable resource for first time game designers.”

I am Calvin Keeney, the President of Streamlined Gaming and now a NanDeck Engineer (thanks Greg!) I am also an art major, efficiency expert and creative being.

All of these attributes have led me to designing games for fun over the last 9 years.

Efficiency is very important to me. I started Streamlined Gaming in August of 2015 in an attempt to create a valuable resource for first time game designers.

I set out to create the same compilation of resources and useful information that I wished I had 9 years ago when I started game design while being a semi pro trading card game player  in 2007 (RIP WoW tcg).

My goal is to help you save time and resources while developing your games so you can focus on the fun stuff. Like balancing your game and making the best experience possible for your players.

“Moving every couple of years until I was in my 20’s has given me a deep appreciation for how games can bring people together.”

Hi, I’m Elly. Thanks for stopping by to learn more about the people, and friendly Robot, behind SLG. I’m a photographer by trade, but  I wear a lot of hats around here so it’s hard to hang a title on me. In my own words I’d say creator and avid gamer.

I grew up in a Navy family and we moved from coast to coast frequently. At the age of 5, I took a train with my mom and the passengers across the aisle were playing D&D.

On that cross country trip I made my first character (rogue), crept through a graveyard, slew a vampire…and became a gamer. Candyland couldn’t hold my interest after that and I’ve been on the hunt for better gaming experiences ever since.

Moving every couple of years until I was in my 20’s has given me a deep appreciation for how games can bring people together with familiar rules and stories. I came to work for SLG because I want to help the next generation of game designers begin their journey. The best thing about gaming is it’s ability to break down barriers and bring people together to have fun! So why is it that creating games can often feel like just the opposite?

There are many challenges and barriers in getting your games out of your head and into other people’s hands. There are resources available, but they are often scattered and disorganized. Once you really dive into the process it can feel lonely or overwhelming. SLG is here to change that.
